Knine Rescue / Germantown Pet Food Bank was awarded a grant through the Petco Foundation in the year of 2011 and at that time they partnered with Feed the Petz to sponsor a very large pet food distribution day in August of 2011. The pictures below are of our volunteers picking up pet food a week in advance from Petco in Germantown, Maryland so that we could transport it to Virginia. Sadly, the founder of Knine Rescue (Chris) passed away in the early part of 2012. She truly will be missed.   Our 2nd time in the MALL  08/25/12 ...1-4PM MANASSAS, VA. AT MANASSAS MALL....CARNAGE IN PERSON!! GIVE A WAYS & MORE!! 	The event sponsored by Knine Rescue/ Germantown Pet Food Bank and Feed the Petz, Inc. quickly turned into a disaster relief effort in August of 2011 as Hurricane Irene was well on her way that day. It was a blessing that Hurricane Irene didn't cause any local damage, however, we were ready and prepared to offer whatever help we could do just in case.
